I’m bored.

Mini McKenzy, how on Earth are you bored in New York City?

Sometimes I wonder why they couldn’t just room me with my girlfriend.

But that’s never fun!

But breaking the rules is.

Ali and I went out to Central Park last night.

That was a hell of a thing. What did you get up to?

ali-hastings:

A quiet “Oh…” fell from Alison’s lips to show some sort of reaction as her attention was momentarily on other things. However, a short moment later, Jennifer’s seatbelt made a clicking sound, signalizing the petite girl that it was fastened and her girlfriend more or less safe now. Well, at least she couldn’t tumble out of her seat in case they’d get into turmoil.

Her hand wandered down from Jennifer’s stomach to where the girl’s hand was resting, letting her own slip into it to intertwine their fingers. Her eyes found the taller girl’s again and Alison shot her a small smile which she hoped would have a calming effect on her girlfriend. She also started caressing the back of Jennifer’s hand in hers again in an attempt to soothe the brunette. Neither of those things seemed to be at all helpful, though, and when Jennifer squeezed her eyes shut a second later and hunched forward a little, Alison herself leaned forward and into the older girl, her free hand coming to a rest on Jennifer’s shoulder, squeezing it lightly.

And as they clattered down the highway, the small brunette eventually remembered her aunt’s – who flew out to Seattle on basically a monthly basis – advice. She let go off Jennifer’s shoulder for a moment to dig her hand into the pocket of her sweatpants and a second later, Alison retrieved a pack of gums. Apparently, chewing or sucking on things while either setting off or landing helped – or was supposed to, anyway. With the help of her teeth, the petite girl opened the package and pulled out a stripe of gum. A hopeful smile on her face, she nudged the older brunette’s side and when Jennifer lifted her head to look at her, Alison held out the gum for her, already chewing on some herself.

The steward in front of the plane was done giving safety instructions by the time Jennifer took the stripe from Alison’s hands and with a “We wish you a pleasant flight” and a polite smile, the man turned on his heels and disappeared again. Alison tried her best not to chuckle at the irony of his last words and instead turned back towards her girlfriend, a concerned frown on her face. “Baby girl, is there anything I can do for you?”

Jennifer popped the piece of gum into her mouth gratefully. Her face twisted into a little glower at the words of the steward as he finished with the instructions. It was like he was deliberately trying to taunt her. One of her hands curled reflexively into a balled up fist as the thought of punching him in the nose crossed her mind. Well, that would be an easy way to get herself kicked off of the plane, wouldn’t it? A pleasant flight? As if. Asshole.

Well, at least she had Alison.

The taller girl considered her girlfriend for a few moments, shivering unpleasantly as plane started settling itself to prepare for flight. The moment that she felt the plane start to roll forward, she panicked and did the first thing that came to mind: she leaned down and kissed Alison. It was a simple act that she had become accustomed to. Yet, she couldn’t get enough of Alison’s lips. Hell, she couldn’t get enough of just… Alison. Kissing her girlfriend had an instantaneously reassuring effect on her. The tension eased slightly and she stroked the smaller brunette’s cheek with her fingers for a long moment before intertwining their fingers and settling back in her seat with her eyes closed.

She muttered a stream incoherent Spanish swear words under her breath before inhaling slowly even though a little whimper escaped her mouth when the plane kicked off from the ground and rose higher and higher into the air. Jesus. Stupid motherfucking airplanes with their stupid heights and their goddamn stupid fucking everything.

lux-dupree asked: Well, he keeps wanting to psycho analyze me. Pushing my buttons about certain things..

That… certainly sounds like Maximilian.

Just don’t react to what he says and he’ll eventually get bored.

lux-dupree asked: I want to kick Max in the face, Jen.

Not getting along with your roommate, I take it?

ali-hastings:

Leaning back into her seat, head resting against the bolster, Alison pulled Jennifer’s trembling hand into her own lap and started to slowly draw small circles into the girl’s pale skin in an attempt to sooth the brunette’s nerves. She was just about to open her mouth to make sure that Jennifer was okay when the tall girl’s voice reached her ears. In order to face her girlfriend, the younger of the two of them turned in her seat slightly, dark brown eyes finding Jennifer’s instantly.

Eyes, which immediately lit up at the brunette’s proposal of going to Central Park that night. The park was high on top of Alison’s do-to list for their stay in New York and the idea of going there at night with no other than her darling girlfriend, the idea put a beaming smile onto the petite girl’s face. Sitting up a little straighter in her seat, the brunette exclaimed, “Why, yes, that sounds like a wonderful idea”, excitedly. A few heads turned into their direction and Alison’s cheeks took a soft red-ish color. Ducking her head slightly, she leaned back into her seat, although the beaming smile was still firmly in place. “Mhmm, I would love to go to Central Park with you tonight, Jen”, the petite girl said in a much quieter voice now before lifting Jennifer’s still somewhat slightly trembling hand up to her lips to press a soft kiss onto the back of it.

In her short excited outburst, Alison, as well as Jennifer, has missed the closing of the thick door. It was only when a man’s voice coming from the speakers cut Alison’s “I would also love to—“, off, that the small brunette noticed that the plane had already started rolling down the runway. Sitting up a little straighter again, Alison’s eyes found the young steward only a few feet away from them. She had never gone somewhere by plane so this was all so very new and exciting for the petite girl. Listening to the man’s instructions, she did as she was told and closed the belt around her belly, pulled on the cord until it was tight enough. Her eyes fell on Jennifer when she was done to check on the taller brunette to find the girl still unbelted and fidgeting with the hem of her shirt instead of listening to the steward, who had just started explaining them how to behave in case something might happen. “Baby, fasten your belt”, she semi-whispered, leaning forwards already, though, to do it herself. Her eyes found Jennifer’s hazel ones as she looked up, leaning over the brunette’s body and Alison furrowed her eyebrows slightly. “Jen? Is everything all right?”

Oh, God.

The sound of the door to the plane closing made her skin crawl and she slid down a little lower in her seat with a hard swallow. She wanted nothing more than to stand up, leave the plane and go back home to her pets. Preferably, she would have been able to drag Alison along with her. That seemed highly unlikely, though, considering just how damn excited her girlfriend was about the plane and the airport and New York freaking City. Her mouth was suddenly dry.

She could almost hear Maximilian’s mocking little laugh at her extreme discomfort. He had never thought that her fear of heights made sense and he seemed to take an odd sort of pleasure in making snide little remarks and poking fun at her for it and then being there to try and talk her out of being angry. She rarely stayed mad at the boy for long. It was a… well, it was a flaw of hers. She forgave him for everything he had ever done and probably ever would do — okay, except if it had to do with hurting someone else.

“Yeah, yeah,” Jen mumbled, trying to focus on her hands instead of the terror that clawed at her chest and made breathing labor-intensive and harsh and painful. At least she wasn’t having a full-on anxiety attack. That would have been humiliating, especially in front of her girlfriend. Her voice died in her throat as her unconvincing answer fell flatly.

“I…” she swallowed nervously, “I don’t… I don’t like… heights.”

She squeezed her eyes shut, trying to keep her panic under control. The damn plane only just started moving and she hunched into herself, trying to pretend as though she was in bed at home with Alison and just holding her. The worst parts about flying were the take-off and the landing.

What makes you say that, Miss Davis?

fiona-stratford:

Probably not.

I mean, look at the amount that Erinn and Annabeth get harassed about this sort of thing?

Anons love to suggest things.
